As we head into the holiday season we are all grateful for so much in our lives. We also have the opportunity to give back through our current Giving Season fundraiser to support YANA Community High School and Vocational Training Center. This fundraiser will be hosted on the GlobalGiving platform and will run through December 31, 2018. A generous donor has offered to match every donation dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000 during the course of this campaign!
In 2018 we are proud to have launched new programs and partnerships, as well as expand existing initiatives. Our school has grown to serve more students including our first graduating class. We continue to work to develop and grow our teachers’ capacity to help our students learn even more. Thanks to a partnership with Pangea Giving we have been able to start a new vocational training program that enables our partner organization Child Empowerment Program to build a more sustainable model and foster critical transferable skills in the community. Each and every day your dollars no matter how small make a BIG impact on the lives of Ugandan youth.
Two years ago, Tusubira launched an incredible new project to broaden our impact from less than a dozen young people to a phenomenal 147 youth in rural Uganda. In a world where global poverty remains a monumental challenge, community-centered projects like our partnership with Child Empowerment Program (CEP) demonstrate the opportunity we can ignite when communities have the resources to transform their futures.
